Absence is never without a reason

Hello, world! Look who's coming back? It's me!

Okay, that was lame. Like seriously, I spent more than thirty minutes only to come up with this ultra-lame opening. Well, I suppose 8-months absence from the blogosphere has successfully made my brain as dull as dishwater. Life's currently in a transition state, which as a few of you may know, I've just graduated from university and now I'm on voyage in search for job. These past few months have been hard. Most of the time was spent slogging away at my thesis report, attending seminar class, and preparing for the final defense. I am very grateful that I can finally finish my undergraduate course and get my Bachelor of Engineering degree. It feels like a big burden has been lifted off my shoulder. Or so I thought. But, you know, reality is a nicely disguised cruel man. Now that I've finished my study, the next step is find a job, and by job I mean, it's not something you do for fun, but obviously, for living, and it's a real big deal. It's about responsibility. Oh God, I'm twenty one already, and yes, I'm having a responsibility issue. What could be worse? Anyway, I'm gonna drop this responsibility talking here, so we can move on to these three picture below.

Me and my two friends, Vivi and Andri, tried to ambush my other friend, Fidela with a surprise birthday cake, and I should say we're not really good at it. We were really awkward and we got busted right after we arrived at the scene and embarassingly we rang the wrong bell. But it was fun nonetheless.

Enough for the jabber today. Gonna talk to you later. Until then, take care!

Girlfriends.

There’s an old adage saying, “If you want to be happy, then you have to focus on what you’ve got”, which leaves me questioning my inner self, “Why didn’t I do this sooner?”, and ends up with my inner self answering, “Because it’s not as easy as it sounds, baby.” That’s right. It’s not easy, indeed, but doesn’t mean it’s impossible. I mean, if you make up your mind and really do it, instead of sitting around and keeping safe distance just because you don’t want to end in tears, focusing on what you’ve got might be not that hard. Well, I didn’t intend to lecture anyone here, because truthfully speaking, it was what I want to say to myself: to be happy, to focus on what I’ve got and appreciate every little things in my life to be grateful for. A harmonic family and loving friends, for instance.
For starters, I’d like to share my date night with my dearest friends from high school. There are actually 6 beautiful girls, but three of them are currently out of town pursuing studies for the sake of their future life. Anyway, we had a blast, like seriously nothing beats togetherness with good friends, accompanied by relaxing talks and scrumptious foods.

Bandung and Friends

Back in April 2011, after much deliberation, my college friends and I finally set off for Bandung in search of light refreshment after months of studying, writing papers, doing overflowing assignments, and taking a series of exams. It was a 3 days and 2-night trip, which was scheduled on June 15, and coincidentally, was also the last day of our internship report submission. Here are some photos I’d like to share with you. I shot hundreds of photos, but only a little of them came up well. Yeah, my photography skill hasn’t improved yet, but I’m working on it. Lame excuse, huh?

back for good

For the past few months, my life was stuck in a rut and I was beyond consumed with everything and felt way too done in to put much of an effort into blogging. Well, it’s not like I wasn’t trying to fix the pattern, but somehow, along the way; I totally lost my interest in blogging. It was hard to believe that I’d encounter this blogger’s block sooner than I had expected. I tried to search back passion I used to have back then, but I failed. So there I was, trying to move on and live my life as if I were not affected by it. Though the truth is deep down in my heart, I knew, something just didn’t feel right. I wonder how to put this feeling to words. It felt like I know exactly what I have to do, but my mind has not made a decision to move on and do it. So I gave myself a little break to put an end to this constant weariness of everything. I believe it’s starting to change now. *finger crossed*

Well, I think it’s enough for today. Finals in a week, so I’ll talk to you again anytime soon. See you, and take care!

Anyway, I will be extremely busy in the following week, with school, shifting between assignments and papers, friends, family, and life. We’ll talk later. See you around.
